    I think it would be an exam worth taking, if they reduced by 90% plus the insanely ridiculous ~$4000 cost of the training for the VCP6.

    Well your new around here but once Stanly updates their program it will only cost $200.

    Search the VMware part of the forum for the Stanly Community College ICM offering.

    The only exception to requiring training is for those holding CCNA (or higher), to get certified as a VCP6-NV (or higher) - that's always been the case, and it would upset people who've already invested and got certified if it were to change.

    As per other replies, there's always the option of using a VMware IT Academy such as Stanly, if you're paying for the training for yourself...
