CEH Passed! 85%
Feels good when you have that silent smile of accomplishment walking out of the testing center. CEH is done, bye bye!
Now onto CISSP, and then hopefully get to OSCP at some point in 2016. I want to get to the hands on stuff.
I didn't mark any answer intentionally wrong as a few caught me off guard, things I hadn't seen during my studies. I would have hated to lower the score thinking I had done better than I had. I think an 85% keeps me off the audit radar. But I studied my ass off too and earned this. Feels good to be done!

Proverbs 6:6-11Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, Which, having no captain, Overseer or ruler, Provides her supplies in the summer, And gathers her food in the harvest. How long will you slumber, O sluggard?
When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep, So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler And your need like an armed man. -

roninkai Member Posts: 307 ■■■■□□□□□□Well, they give you a question pool. I got lots of PKI questions, which luckily I feel strong in. Lots of nMap. A few policy questions. All the encryption questions I got were regarding SHA1 for some reason. I'd say watch the encryption section of the Pen testing videos in Cybrary. That helped me. Other than that, most of the time there were two answers out of left field, so just 2 possibilities to really consider. (like most of these tests). They gave questions in sections. You can almost identify the area of topic you were in. For example, it said I had 3 questions in the section, then realize these were the 3 "ethics" questions in the total exam. Only one subletting related question. Overall I felt it was an easy(ish) exam that I over studied for. But I have learned a lot the last 2 months of so through my materials that makes me feel more confident in this area of cyber.浪人 MSISA:WGU

Hello,
I studied hard for 2 months, then took and passed my CEH v8 on 09.25.15. with
and 85.
But I then to my surprise, CEH v9 came out like a week or two later, and
suddenly CEH v8 was already out of date, and no one mentioned the new exam at
the test center, no emails from EC-Council...
Since my test pass date and the release of the new exam were so close,
is there anyway I can be upgrade to v9 w.o taking the test again?
Doesn't seem fair to have to pay twice, $600. If I would have known
CEHv9 was coming out, I would have just waited a week more.
Frustrating....
Please advise.浪人 MSISA:WGU

There is no such thing as an exam version only course version.
You should have received your certificate by now and noticed it has no version number on it. -

I can't wait to see their response. Their customer service is horrible. It will be something like this... "No version 9, only version 8 you pay. You pay $600 for test." -
roninkai Member Posts: 307 ■■■■□□□□□□They basically said what someone said above, that the certificate doesn't have the version number on it, so I'm not really CEH v8, just CEH. So no need to take CEH v9.浪人 MSISA:WGU
