Which Linux OS should I use to study for the new exams (LX0-103 & LX0-104)??

I've read though several topics here and it appears the older exams needed older versions of things like CentOS covered.Anyone know what the best versions of Linux to use to study for this are? I'm leaning towards newest versions of vanilla Debian and CentOS. Would this work for these exams? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Atm, I am studying for this as well, as since it is vendor neutral, (the exam), it doesn't matter what you use to study- i was bashing my head against my laptop trying to figure that out! I am using Ubuntu while studying from books and CBTNuggets!

Yea - vanilla CentOS and Debian (I'd just run Ubuntu/Kali

) would work. Also, SUSE/Novell is introduced as well.

Thanks for the info! I was thinking about SuSE as well. I like Kali Linux also, so good suggestion, thanks!

Basically, you want to be using OS's with upstart, sysvinit, systemd. I'm using centos 6, centos 7, arch. Mainly because I want to get RHCSA right after Linux+. Plus I hate debian...

I like Ubuntu and Kali, but I recommend running a VM with CentOS or Fedora as well to see the different package managers, etc.

NP! VMs are great and all but nothing beats dealing with a UEFI dual-boot. If you do wanna play with some VMs, use vagrant

If I recall correctly, the exams cover both sides so I would use CentOS and Ubuntu.
