To those who didn't pass, I'm sorry you'll get it next time. I didn't pass in June using the questionaire book instead of the db CD. I bought the DB version after my fail result and I must say it's much better than the book. It's easy to keep track of your studying progress. Fortunately I passed this time. -

joannlpg Member Posts: 5 ■□□□□□□□□□If you took the test in NYC and did not pass, contact ISACA. The venue was terrible and there was music blasting, lots of distractions. ISACA told me that anyone who took the exam in NYC and failed can take it again in December for FREE. I hope no one has to take it again, but if you do, at least it won't cost you another $500. Good luck to all.

In your experience, whether was generally very little technical questions on exam?
Kindly asking for study notes/tips especially for the third domain. Thank you allprotacticus@gmail.com

Brandin09 Registered Users Posts: 1 ■□□□□□□□□□I passed! I took the test in Boston. I didn't do great (532) but it was my first time taking the test and I only studied the questions from the ISACA CD for about three weeks. I never opened the book, so I'm pretty happy. Best of luck to everyone.

willow313 Member Posts: 5 ■■■□□□□□□□I was hoping to pass the CISM but I didn't clear the bar. Please if anyone can share a study approach, since I am retaking the exams in December. It looks like most people turn to focus more on the CD than on the Manual

spiderjericho Registered Users, Member Posts: 896 ■■■■■□□□□□^^^I took the CISM in September. I passed but can't say I completely aced it. But if I had to be honest, I could've prepared better by reading the manual (that always helps) and spending more time preparing for the exam.
Having said that, the test engine/database is invaluable in helping the test taker think like a manager and the type of question methodology ISACA uses.
I know you'll knock it out the park next time. -
emerald_octane Member Posts: 613i used the online review course. Expensive, but it help a lot with getting down to the essentials.
