Why is CCNA voice no longer available?

I just passed my CCNA routing and switching. Now the 640-461 ICOMM is replacing the CCNA Voice.

Just curious why they consolidated both voice and video into one.

This change had been in progress for a while. The majority of medium to large entities use both video and voice, so they felt it was best to consolidate the tracks as they have many of the same foundations. The new exams are 210-060 and 210-065

Is the new Collaboration cert a combination of half of the "old" voice syllabus or did they create an entirely new voice corriculum?

They have the new exam blueprints on Cisco's site.

There is no new voice track, it's been folded completely into the collaboration track along with CCNA Video: CCNA Collaboration - IT Certifications and Career Paths - Cisco Systems
