Anyone else ever had a bad WGU experience?

I couldn't get in because I didn't meet the minimum requirements. Even though my transcript said my cisco class met, oh well. They told me to get a cert like an MTA or an A+. I went and got the MTA Windows Server Administration Fundamentals. I just got the email stating that wasn't enough either. Why did they tell me to get it, then it wasn't enough? What's up with the admissions reps at this place?

I know an A+ is a solid entry into WGU. If you check their transferable credits for the IT program, MTA 98-365 doesn't transfer in. The A+ does.
These articles and posts are my own opinion and do not reflect the view of my employer.

Hey - sorry about your bad experience! I hope you can get it straightened out! Good luck!

If you meet their IT requirements, I'd try to appeal.

Special Requirements for WGU’s B.S. IT Programs
Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
    Demonstrate IT experience either through:
An associate’s degree in IT or equivalent (A.S. or A.A.S. acceptable).
High-level IT coursework completed within the last five years:
Two or more upper-level networking courses; OR
Two or more upper-level object-oriented programming courses (Java, C#, etc.); OR
One or more upper-level operating systems courses; OR
One or more upper-level information security and assurance courses.
Hold transferable IT certifications earned within the last five years. Click here to see what IT certifications may transfer to WGU.
Submit a resume showing three-plus years of IT work experience.

Here's a list of transferrable IT certifications:

Transferable IT Certifications | WGU Online IT Certification

Unfortunately, I didn't see MTA Server Administration on there and only 3 MTA's transfer:

Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): Software Development Fundamentals
Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): Database Administration Fundamentals
Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA): Networking Fundamentals

As for Cisco, if you have any of these - you should be good to go:

    Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA®)
    Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA®)
    Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP®)
Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCNP Security)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP® Voice, formerly CCVP)
Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT)
Cisco Certified Network Associate—Security (CCNA Security)
    Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE®)
