2nd stage interview (HR) - tips

Waria AhmedWaria Ahmed Member Posts: 30 ■■□□□□□□□□
Hi,

I have a 2nd stage interview with a company next week with HR and head of IT. (Passed first stage with head of IT and infrastructure lead)

Was after abit of advice in terms of what to expect. The 2nd stages ive normally gone through are usually the technical tests and going through CV but seemed like we covered that all in the last interview.

Any advice will ve greatly appreciated. Many thanks

My advice would be to relax and be yourself. I think that making it past the first stage means that there is confidence in your basic abilities. Now it's time to judge if your personality will be a good fit, so relax and try to learn from the experience. Make sure that even if you don't make the cut in this one that you're better prepared for the next! Congratulations, BTW!

Just be yourself. Think you already know the interviewer as a friend.

I like to think of interviewers as a customer. I feel like I am conditioned to relax and project confidence to customers, so I try to use that in interviews.

No! Do not get informal with the interviewer...that is such a fatal mistake. Keep it professional, think of more questions you can ask about the role and environment. Focus on making sure you can speak to relevant topics from your resume.
