I am currently a Desktop Support analyst w/ CCNA, A+...and Security+ exam scheduled next week. Also, I am 7 classes away from BSIT w/WGU. Been on my job about a year and a half now. I am not sure if I should look for another job w/ more responsibilities and challenges now or wait until I passed my BSIT. I am looking toward Network Security......What ya'll think I should do?

bpenn Member Posts: 499Definitely start applying. Also, put your expected graduation date on your resume - I did it and have been getting more bites lately. Still waiting for something concrete!"If your dreams dont scare you - they ain't big enough" - Life of Dillon

joeswfc Member Posts: 118 ■■■□□□□□□□Doesn't hurt to try! I completed 2 out of 3 MCSA exams and went for an interview not expecting to get the job but they gave it me with the condition that I had to pass my third exam, and they even paid for it!

yellowpad Member Posts: 192 ■■■□□□□□□□Thanks guys..the reason I asked because I think it would be more valuable with a BSIT "Completed" vs "expect to complete". Thus, better salary once completed?Completed MSCIA f/ WGU~ CISSP 5-days boot camp scheduled

bpenn Member Posts: 499Yes, completed is always better but you can always change that when you finish the degree. Your chances of getting a new job are slim to none if you dont even apply.
