I have the post 9/11 GI Bill. Does anyone know how the housing payment works out?

I can't answer for the BS requirements... I'm working on an MBA with them. You have to take 3 classes a term to be full time for a masters. My BHA came in at $800 or a little less each month. I'm out of Phoenix as well... so... your pay might be slightly different.

    Hope this helps?

If you are only taking online classes, and no butt in-seat classes then you are going to only receive a percentage of the MHA. What that percentage is you will have to look up. This is based off of the last time I looked at the rules. You'll want to look it up on the VA's GI Bill website.

If you are doing school online, then you only get 50% of the BAH. Source: I used some my GI Bill at WGU.

Here is what was sent to me from WGU last month:
[FONT=&quot]The monthly housing allotment (if applicable) is prorated by training time and percentage of entitlement. The base amount is ½ of the national average E-5 BAH (For the 2015-2016 year: $783.00 x % of entitlement x rate of pursuit). The book stipend is paid at $41.67 x # CU's x % of entitlement up to a $1,000 max (100% entitlement = $1,000/yr; 90% entitlement = $900/yr, etc.)

Thanks for all the replies. My term started Nov 1st and I am enrolled in 18 CUs. Do they normally pay out late? I had all of my paperwork completed beginning of October.

The VA pays your entitlement at the beginning of the month, but the first month's payment may come a bit late. Also, if memory serves correctly, the VA pays the previous months entitlement at the beginning of the next month.

You don't get paid BAH your first month, but will get it back at the end.

Cool thanks. I have used almost all my GI bill at a B&M school.
