You bet you can. I studied for 5 weeks and passed my CCNA. And it has been 5 years since i was in the academy. I forgot everything from it also.
It matters how much time you devote to studying. And how much you retain from your labs and study time. 5 weeks was enough for me to pass on my first attempt. So is it plausible? You betca.
I'm not sure about the "best" material to study. But I used Boson router SIM CCNP beta. For a router SIM which you really need! And I used, CCNA from sybex, the latest version.
And online test that I could find, and these fourms for tricky stuff i didnt understand.
and subnettingquestions.com for unlimited amount of subnetting questions.
