Udacity - Nanodegrees backed by Tech giants

Anyone looked into Udacity yet? It offers programs similiar to Coursera. These programs are called nanodegrees and are taught by people working at Google, Facebook, Salesforce etc. The courses are geared towards those who want to get into DevOps so if you like programming or want to get to a higher skill level, you can try it. Some courses are free but others are $200 a month and also when you finish your nanodegree, you get 50% of your money back. I guess the nanodegrees would be the equivalent of certifications for those who are into programming and developing code.

I've looked at the curriculum and considered one. To me they didn't really seem like they were geared toward DevOps. Mostly a pure developer track.

Too expensive...

Edit: I tried out their nano-degree program (Fall 14 cohort) before that 50% tuition kick back for completion within a year so that helps with the cost factor quite a bit. IMHO, I like/d edX and Coursera better and found the coursework on those platforms more to my learning style - YMMV.

I didn't find the cost to be too wild if you factor in that they return half of your tuition if you complete it within a year. Also, they were recently running a deal where it was 10% off every month and still have the return of half of your tuition if you completed it in a year. The question really is are you going to gain anything financially by completing their nanodegrees? That question, currently, remains to be answered. But from a pure knowledge standpoint, I think it could be worth it, though I'd prefer a single fee each course.
