Basically followed all the topics, such as creating a new forest using powershell, adding servers to domain, playing with new features that 2012 & 2012R2 introduced like SMB 3.0 shares with scale-out etc. Also did some things at work when my free Azure month expired.

I have done measure up and Trancender and can pass those mostly because I have them memorized. 1st exam did horrible on AD and Group Policy. Studied up 2nd exam 90 % for GP and Ad but Hyper V dropped to 15% from 90's. I hate this ******* exam.Taking it a 6th time on Wednesday. If I fail I feel I may have to give up. Too many choices and too many Least administrative effort. Those are BS questions. I can't type for crap so is a PS command less administrative effort then using a GUI? Watched every video on CBT nuggets and train Signal, Technet Articles, Practice test. What gets me most annoyed is that if there is no technet for 2012 the 2008R2 technet should be correct answer. Talking to a trainer about disk part which I have seen the exam. FOR 2008 the correct order is create, attach, partition, format, assign. He says for 2012 it is assign then format because after you partition windows will automatically assign the drive letter an prompt to format. Which is right? Would be nice if MS a software company could put out an actual skills measured exam. Put me on a VM give me a list of task to accomplish. No go ******* learn all 14 ways to create a user account and know which way can create but not add a street address and which can rename and which can force the user to stick his finger up his ass on first logon. A lot of my frustration is also Pearson Vue. I study and get prepped take self proctored ( only 2 exam centers usually booked 2 months out local) Feel good during exam. Feel not so good because they will not allow a whiteboard Then something happens with exam and they make me stop. ( Lost camera, lost sound. proctor looses connection). They just stop the exam. No restarting. Nope wait 3-5 days for a support ticket then reschedule and loose all studying and prep. Coworker is saying just use Kathleen pdf ****. But last time I looked at one of them ( win7 exams) I felt the answers given were wrong.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/learning/certification-exam-policies.aspxA 14-day waiting period is also imposed for the fourth and fifth exam retakes. A candidate may not take a given exam any more than five times per year (12 months). This 12-month period starts the day of the fifth unsuccessful exam retake. The candidate is then eligible to retake the exam 12 months from that date. To take a given exam more than five times per year, a candidate must submit a request and obtain prior permission from Microsoft.
