    Passed:
ITIL Foundations - passed this, needed it by 4/6 to keep my job
VCAP5-DCA - passed this, also sorta needed to keep my job
VCAP5-DCD - passed this, If I have one VCAP I may as well have both

    Upcoming
VCDX - If I have both VCAPs why not aim for the stars
VCP6-DTM - we have a big horizon project coming up so I need to get cracking on it. This will likely supersede my VCDX since it is less hard.
    I finally started that blog - www.thomgreene.com

    I passed the CISSP.

I don't know what will be next, maybe I'll go back to school or try for some other infosec certification. I'm open to ideas...

How was the CISSP exam? Did you take the one with 8 domains? Do you have any suggestions on how to approach the CISSP exam?

    Security+ (due to sit soon)
    Linux+
    eJPT

New addition to the family in Sept so could even be a stretch to get both Linux+ and eJPT done.

Well, my certification goals I put down last year, I did absolutely nothing towards achieving, besides the fact that i was working 60+ hours a week, I was going to school full time, with a 1 long commute each way every day. However, I was recently promoted, due to all my hard work for the company over the past year, and I am now a Project Manager for a 20,000+ employee hospital. This year I plan on getting my Project+ over the summer, as at least a foot in the door type of thing, then concentrating on school for the rest of the year. I have 45 hours towards my degree and I want to graduate within 2 years. Only 75 credit hours to go icon_rolleyes.gif

Looks like you're off to a good start!

For me, it's a server admin year:

    1. VCA6-DCV (done!)
    2. VCP6-DCV
    3. MCSA Server 2012
    4. Project+

If I get all that done, I'll start studying for the CCNA in 2017.

My goal this year is to finally get a degree. CEH & CHFI because my employer will pay for it. Maybe ITIL? Cram for Storage+ before it retires? So many options.
Well, I got the degree. Got the CEH and CHFI. New list is:

    ISC2 CCFP
    Masters from WGU
    Guidance EnCE
    IACRB CDRP

Probably gonna take me until Q2 of 2017 though. I'd love to get some JTAG and ISP training in too, if I can get work to send me. Eventually I want to get CISSP.

Goals have been updated. Much initiative has been given to me to obtain these certs. If I can pass them all before my yearly review in January I will be in a very favorable position for a raise/promotion.

How could everybody archive 4 or 5 certs in the same year? To me, 2 certification/year is a kind of thing that is almost out of my ability.

You make a plan for 5 or 6 and end up finishing 2 or 3.
Some manage to finish all the goals, others finish some, some finish none of the goals and others keep changing the plan throughout the year.

I think for many of us these goals are a wish list and not an actual plan.
