Quick Microsoft beta exam question, please help!

As there's 20% off booking MS exams today I was interested in booking the 70-697 which is the Windows 10 exam. However the exam is currently in beta and I've been waiting it to come out of beta so I will get the second shot offer (doesn't work with beta exams), which ends on the 12th of January.

I spoke to MS Learning on Twitter and they said it should come out of beta early Decemeber.

My question, is if I book the exam now (beta) for Jan 2nd, will it automatically change from beta to the real exam, and therefore second shot will apply? Or because technically I booked a beta exam, the system won't allow the second shot?

I've contacted MS Learning again, but no reply yet.

It won't automatically change to my knowledge - it's a different exam code so you would have to re-register for the exam.
