2 weeks till 2nd shot!

2 weeks till i take my 2nd shot at the 410 and i dont know what do to what to lab what to read... frustrated!

Look at the report you should've received after your first attempt. It will tell you your weak areas. For instance, my weak areas were deploying core network services and Group Policy.

What was your score for the first attempt? What resources are you using to study?

my score was 448.

my weak areas on the exam are Configure file and share access, Deploy and configure DNS service, Configure IPv4 and IPv6 addressing

I have MeasureUP, Exam Ref (Zacker) and the Sybex all in 1 but haven't touched it much

All of those things are things that can be setup in a lab without much trouble. I recommend setting them up in lab and then working hard at making everything work then rinse and repeat. Focus on reading technets around the areas you were weak. They have a lot of information that just needs to be picked through to understand. I would suggest also reading the chapter or two in your books that pertain to your weak areas. Try to follow long with what they are doing in the books with your lab.

You know what i feel the same way . i have about 2 weeks before I have to my retake too. Very nervous about taking it again. This will be my fourth try with this stupid test. The problem is that my score are all over the place. I'm trying to read a new book i got before the exam. Seeing if that helps me understand things more. But keep reading that's all i could say.

trust me it's fine once you get in and study. for me the GPO / user permission and domain stuff gets me confuse. All i could say is study.. that's what i'm about to do right now.. been working since 7am so now i have time to read until someone needs my service.

i have a lot of time @ work to study.. I wana get this cert cuz i wana B a boss! today i have been reading for a good while.. i just need to get hands on but i need to RDP to my server @ home but the port forwarding isnt working i have done it so many times i just cant get it this time

Right now I'm on the file configuring access files and share. ... In the book i took the little exam on it and bomb on it. 15 question and 9 wrong on it. I decided to read it ... There is 19 chapters so this week and weekend i will be reading a lot ... We will see how it goes.

I'm reading MCSA 70-410 Cert Guide R2: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 so far it's okay just get to the point and stuff. I have about a week so I need to get reading.
