Hi, I work in a company, I have access to Internet in my machine I need to install google or yahoo toolbar to block pop ups, but the admin is not responding to my request.
Downloading .exe is blocked in proxy server.

Is there any way i can install the toolbar in my machine?

i'd recommend firefox for blocking popups.

The admin may have good reasons for not allowing it. Both toolbars have had vulnerabilities in the past that can be exploited by malicious individuals.

The best way to block pop-ups at work is to restrict your surfing habits to work related activities... no offence intended by that remark, just the opinion of a network admin with a few years under his belt.

Hopefully though the admin will reply to your request with a good solution soon, there are plenty of tools available to block pop ups.
