I was more than a little happy when I was done
My first professional certification ever!! I went through the first 10 questions and marked 5 for review and then figured I was in trouble... Then I only marked 5 more through the rest of the test, so I felt better at the end.
Study materials: Daily experience over the last year with Hyper-V and SCVMM, select sections of the
MVA course where my day-to-day job didn't touch, glancing at the
Veeam study guide, and small labbing of SCDPM
Study duration: 2 weeks, minus the work experience
Score: 778
# of questions: 48
SCOM tripped me up -- I don't handle SCOM config on a day to day basis and I underestimated it; I didn't study it at all. The MVA course doesn't do SCOM justice at all (part of the reason I didn't study it is because of how briefly they touched on SCOM); I would supplement the MVA course with a more in-depth SCOM or System Center course.
