question about remote assistance

Hey guys I'm taking the test next friday...have a q about RA...I'm trying to successfully do the deed, but everytime I try regardless of if I use MSN, outlook, or file the computer that initiates does an auto-shutdown due to having to shutdown the DOCOM Server Process Launcher. I have to turn the service off in order to load XP on the restart. Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks.

"the computer that initiates" - so it happens on more than one computer?
can you tell us something about the OS? what service packs are installed?

one thing i will suggest is that you go into services.msc and change the recovery options on the DCOM properties to make it not restart the computer each time it fails.

Yeah, I'm doing this on my home LAN and regardless of which pc I initiate from I get the error. All PC's are running XP Pro SP2 and are fully updated.
