How did you land your first IT Security job?

Hi all, I'm getting ready to graduate this semester with my B.S. in Cyber Security/Digital Forensics. How did you guys/girls go about getting your first IT Security position? Did you apply directly on a companies website? Did you get contacted by a recruiter from Linkedin? Did you post your resume on indeed? Did you know someone that referred you? etc.

Just applied to a bunch of random sysadmin jobs and one of them was a security job, interviewed and they gave me a chance.
