What kind of job could I get with this experience?

I am currently out of work and thinking about putting my resume out there sooner rather than later. What kind of job should I be applying for/likely to get, assuming the interviews go well?

- Old certs from 2002, A+ and MCP. New cert, ITIL Foundation

- 10 years of Technical Analyst/Admin experience from 2003 - 2013

- 2 years of Automation/robotics technician experience from 2013 - 2015

I am also studying for my CCNA and perhaps more Microsoft. I need to start searching for a job now though, while I still have money to live on. I have enough money for about a year, maybe more, but I'd like to get a head start.

THANKS!

-Paul

Apply for any job that you're interested in. I've landed jobs that I wasn't qualified for so I never think about what I "should" apply for.

Ok, that's good to know. It's just that I keep hearing horror stories of how long it takes to get work, the bad economy, etc. Then I also hear that to get a good IT job you need a degree, certs, and experience. Unfortunately, I won't have time to land a degree before I need to go back to work.

For the amount of experience I have, I've been told I could go in to Management. That WON'T be happening lol. I know the Corporate game well, and I'm not interested in it in the slightest. I want a mid-high level tech support job making 25-30 dollars per hour. Hopefully, that isn't too much to ask with my current qualifications.

Anyone else have any insight into what type of job would be realistic to expect?

Apply to any and all. The worse case they throw your resume out. Let the guy looking at your resume make that decision.

Yeah, if you see one you really like and some of your skills match then adjust your resume to highlight what matches more so. For a bunch of the other jobs have a resume with all your experience and let the person looking decide. Sometimes they do look and use intelligent thought to figure that someone can learn and can be used for the position they have.
