Pretty sure I got a new job

Hey guys,
So I haven't been posting a lot about searching for a new position, but I'm pretty sure I just landed a pretty decent one. Some background about me: I'm 31 and got out of the military about 2 years ago. I have been in IT that entire time but just started taking certifications seriously. I renewed my Sec + in October and gained my CCNA that same time.
About a week ago I was contacted by a Teksystems recruiter about a network admin position in the area I grew up at. I know recruiters get a bad rap, but she was pretty good and dealt fairly with me so far. She even answered my question when I asked about salary (67-75k). She set me up with an interview which I just completed last night. The interview was fairly easy for me, I relied mostly on my studies and a couple of sample interview questions the recruiter sent to prepare me. What really boosted my confidence is that even though I have next to no firewall experience, the one firewall question they gave me I aced by thinking about the answer logically and with my knowledge so far.
I got an email from the recruiter while I was asleep that said "please call me in the morning, I have some good news". So I'm pretty sure I got the job. Now on to salary negotiation. I'm hoping to get the top end of their range (70-73k) because from my research, none of my potential coworkers have a CCNA.
I'd like to thank everyone on this board for all of their help. I'm not a constant poster, but I lurk on here pretty much every day. Thanks again guys and best wishes to you all.

wtrwlkr Member Posts: 138 ■■■□□□□□□□Thanks everyone! I was told verbally that I got the offer at 70k. Not going to complain about the pay at all and I'll be putting my CCNA to use every day, plus get some firewall experience. I should get the written offer today. An awesome bonus is that i'll be leaving Afghanistan so I wont have to worry about getting mortared in my sleep.

LeBroke Member Posts: 490 ■■■■□□□□□□I like Teksystems as well. A job through them never materialized for me (and to be fair, the guy was scouting me out for two positions outside my experience range), but my recruiter knows his stuff (including technology, job market, etc), and is a pretty great guy in general. I'd work with them again in the future.

Now that would be an entry I would never want in a project risk register! -
anhtran35 Member Posts: 466I worked for TEKSYSTEMs before and had no issues with them. The prime was Lockheed Martin. Lockheed offered me permanent but I turned it down for CSC. Teksystems will get your foot into the door if you have limited experience.
