I think this thread is for people that have booked, taken and passed CISM and are now going through the endorsement (application) process having received their passing score on the 15th Jan. -

Good luck for your test later this year! -

When did you applied and when you got the confirmation email? -
Mike7 Member Posts: 1,107 ■■■■□□□□□□Seems to be a common issue.
This was also mentioned in the ISACA discussion forum. -
torrente Member Posts: 29 ■□□□□□□□□□For your information I sent it 30 minutes after receiving the official results and I just received it:Dear Sr. XXXXXXXXX, CISA,CGEIT,CRISC:
We recently received your application for the CISM certification. By passing the exam and applying for certification, you have taken a significant step in distinguishing yourself from other professionals.
The processing of your application has begun and the time needed to complete it (up to 8 weeks) will depend on whether or not we have received all of your documentation (verification form(s), transcripts, etc). Should any additional information be required, you will receive a separate e-mail outlining the missing information.
Note that there is a required USD $50 processing fee for applying for certification. If you have not already done so, payment for the CISM application processing fee can be made online atwww.isaca.org/cismpay. Your application cannot be fully processed until the processing fee is paid.
Thank you for your interest in ISACA’s Certification program.
Sincerely,
ISACA

nrgskill Member Posts: 9 ■□□□□□□□□□Submitted my application 20th Jan, still not received confirmation, sent two follow-up emails without receiving replies.
Bought CISM book without receiving confirmation, sent a follow-up without receiving reply, just an email from the courier few days later.
Honestly I don't know what's wrong with ISACA, having to wait 5 (or more) months to get certified after passing the exam it's not what you can expect in 2016. Consider we PAY them, even multiple time if we hold multiple certifications...
Maybe they need some good auditor to audit their processes -
robsch Registered Users Posts: 4 ■□□□□□□□□□@nrgskill, It would be better to send your application using the email address that is registered with ISACA. You may receive the initial confirmation email in the same day or, depending on a number of circumstances, it may take about a week.
Anyhow, the application review and certification process is going to take around six weeks. (8 weeks max). It's unlikely to take 5 months if your application is complete. -

It took about 5 days for me from application submission to receiving confirmation.
I'm not sure where the 5 or more months after passing comes from. On average, it has been reported that it is about 10-12 weeks. And, there are plenty of other certifications/licenses that do take a bit of time. They are pretty clear about it ahead of time if you read their materials. If you think CISA or CISM is bad, check out something like the CPA.
I think it is the auditing mentality. Speed isn't key. Accuracy is. -
justinheadley Member Posts: 13 ■□□□□□□□□□I submitted mine on the morning of Jan 21st, but haven't received any type of confirmation yet. I find myself constantly check the "my certifications" tab on the ISACA website. This waiting process may be just as tedious as waiting on test results.

You will likely get an e-mail before it shows up in the web-portal. That's was my situation. -

My status just changed to "Unreviewed" and I still haven't gotten the confirmation email.
Also, I sent in my application 40 minutes after my exam results were released. -

tuabuikia Member Posts: 52 ■■□□□□□□□□I submitted by application on 22nd Jan and I estimated that they'd confirm on receiving my application on 29th Jan; I was wrong. Lol, looks like it'll be at least 8 weeks before I can lay my hands on the certificate.
Anyone submitted their application around the same time and have yet to receive confirmation as well? -
