Hello,
i am studying for CCNP route and apparently Netflow is on the syllabus:

I cant however find a section in the Official Study Guide where this is covered, or am i missing something?

I ended up using a template that is already in there, yet I think the entire purpose of it is to be able to customize it.
It wasn't that confusing though, if you need to Google it, it won't be bad. I just wonder now if it is actually on the test. -

You need to understand monitor, record and export as well but not configure it. ip flow export commands you need to know. This documents will help as there is no coverage in the ciscopress OLG or FLG. https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=3&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwi93fzZtcnKAhXDNhoKHXn6BXYQFghGMAI&url=http%3A%2F%2Fweb.swcdn.net%2Fcreative%2Fpdf%2Ftechtips%2Fconfigure_netflow_on_cisco_routers.pdf&usg=AFQjCNER4SmDGyebBXxm_xvAaUcoYLdgIQ&sig2=gFPXalOxVuaCZKrDbLqEeQ

atorven Member Posts: 319Netflow is not in the OCG/FLG - I definitely recommend that you read up on it, have a look at the below link, it's more detailed than what is required at the CCNP level but there is a lot of good information there, you might to want check out his other videos as well.

What good is that book for if it doesnt even include all topics on the test? -
Silverymoon Member Posts: 27 ■□□□□□□□□□Netflow is covered a bit at the ccna level but then in the CCNP Route book they refer you to the CCNA books (chapter 6 of the FLG ICND2). They still don't cover everything you need to know. You have to look at the exam topics of the Cisco's website yourself or join the netacad course.

Iristheangel Mod Posts: 4,133 ModI took a previous version of the CCNP exams but if I recall correctly - Netflow was covered in the TShoot books at the time. I looked at the Amazon "Look inside" of the new Tshoot books and it doesn't look like it's covered as much in there.
Sadly, not all CiscoPress books are equal. I pretty much found that out when I read the old CCNP Route OCG book by Wendell Odom so I started looking for good reviews on Amazon for exam books so I was getting something I could verify was going to get me through the exam. For example, looking on Amazon I can see that the CCNP OCG guide has some pretty bad Amazon reviews and the FLG guide is rated slightly higher so I probably would have at least skipped OCG:
Sometimes on top of that, the books provided still won't provide all the information so you'll have to supplement it with videos or just digging into config guides and labbing. Sucks but that's sort of what happens for exams of this level on up unfortunately. If you get to the CCIE one day, you'll be buried in RFCs, design guides, and dozens of books trying to hit all the topics. -
Silverymoon Member Posts: 27 ■□□□□□□□□□They don't cover everything, if you can't answer some questions it mean you need to be near 100% with the rest. If I was to ask you a question about ip tcp selective-ack do you see any material in the CCNP Route books you could use? How about vpdn enable and pppoe configuration. Can you see it in the CCNA or CCNP Route books?
If you look at this material you will find your answers. Page 88 for the vpdn enable and page 73 for TCP selective ack.
