Contract Positions for Entry Level

Hello, I was looking on indeed and other sites for jobs and I noticed there were quite a few 3 and 6 month contract positions available for help desk and desktop support. Considering that I am starting college full time in ~7 months, these seem perfect. Does anyone have experience with these types of contract positions? The reason I ask is because I have fairly limited experience and only a CompTIA A+, and Im not sure if I will just be thrown out and told to "do my best" or what.. Advice? Thanks!

I'd take them. Usually contract positions are meant as a testing period to see if you have what it takes. If they like you they may just hire you as full time otherwise its good experience.

I did one at my current job. They told me beforehand it was a contract with a possibility to hire full-time.
