HDD wipe
I have customers who want to erase all data from their hard drives when the machines are retired. Any good (and cheap) ideas?

Transatlantic Member Posts: 120Check with the HDD manufacturer website, most of them have free Zero wipe utilities that ytou can download and wipe the disk with"Mistakes have been made, others will be blamed."

I used it to erase some 80GB drives before I sold them on ebay. -
JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,088 AdminThe best hard drive eraser is Darik's Boot and Nuke (DBAN). It's used by the US military and government and also by me. Just burn the disk image on to a floppy and boot from it. It wipes partitions, disks, and entire disk arrays. It's also completely free.
