Passed my Network + today, first attempt! It was much harder then I anticipated, I will not go into specifics, but I will say there was fewer conceptual questions then I expected. Make sure you study all of the objectives and are ready for a ton of setup and troubleshooting questions.

I am a decent test taker, I completed both 801 and 802 exams with 30+ minutes to spare and 820+ score on both. On the n10-006 I completed the test with 1.5 minutes to spare, with a 771 score.

I used Professor Messer videos and study notes. Keith Barkers book, as well as CBT Nuggets. I used quizlet for study port numbers which was useful. I also did all the ExamCompass tests. I studied exactly 2 months from little knowledge on the topics. I am looking forward to moving on to Security + and then my CCNA!

I will also mention, I had 87 questions with 8 performance based questions. As N+ is vender neutral I did not encounter CISCO IOS questions. Performance questions took a ton of time for me (40 minutes), they were not very difficult for me, just took many precious minutes. I did have a ton of issues with the performance based questions closing out on me while I was working. For instance I close one session windows in the virtual environment, and was kicked out to the beginning. I had trouble dragging things across the screen. I estimate these issues added 3-4 minutes.

It is a ton of information, I just kept drilling the information from different sources (3 in my case) and further research on problem areas. I found I had issues with WAN Technologies (sonet, etc) so I studied more in this area before I took the test.
