The guy told me over the phone to wear jeans a polo and then reiterated that in his email. After speaking with him and knowing the type of company it is, I do not think it is a mind game. I see a lot of people saying that others are overthinking and I definitely was as well. Which is why I posted.
After reading the comments and thinking about it, I'm going to wear jeans. I don't want to be the guy who doesn't follow instructions. If I don't get the job or get dinged for wearing jeans, oh well, life goes.
Anyways, the interview is in a few hours so wish me luck. -

I'm good enough that I can show up in boxers ...at least I like to think so. -

vanillagorilla3 Member Posts: 79 ■■■□□□□□□□The interview went well. I got just about all the technical questions right and was really able to explain things I've been involved in at work as well as in my spare time. The only thing that concerns me is that it sounded like they are interviewing ALOT of people, so I'm hoping I did enough to really stand out.
As for the jeans, I think that was the right choice. It's a really laid back place and they have a lot of perks...bonuses, paid time off, paid benefits, 100% 401k match. The candidate before wore jeans as well...he was leaving as I came in.
