I haven't read the Sybex book, bu the official guide from CWNP is definitely a must have. Best thing to do is get the book+online practice exams+voucher in one package from CWNP. Two books is better than one though...

The CWNA Study Guide (3rd ed.) from Planet3 is a "must have" when studying for the CWNA. The Sybex book isn't due to be released until May 2006, so I obviously can't yet compare the two. I expect the Planet3 book will be the better of the two, but two study guides is better than one.

Yeah I was checking the sybex book out for pre-ordering, just didnt want to completely commit without peer consultation. I'm not planning to do the cert until may/june so I guess I will wait until others have reviewed it before deciding which one to get.

    Thanks all!

You will need to at least buy the Planet3 CWNA Study Guide, so you might as well get it now and start studying. If you already have experience with 802.11 networks, it'll probably be all that you need (and the online practice tests at www.cwne.com, of course).

As the author of the Sybex CWNA Study Guide.... I vote that you buy my book. icon_lol.gif

Seriously, my guide is an alternative study guide with a different perspective. The offical study guide is also a wonderful resource. I highly recommend that you also read the official study as well as the book I wrote. The CWNA test always gets harder every year and I highly recommend that you read at least two books on the subject, read some white papers and get hands-on experience.

I'll post a recommeded reading list in another post.
