OSPF - DR question
Humper
Ok a little confused here on the DR.
So I know that the DR is elected when there are multiple OSPF routers on the same "multi-access" network (aka broadcast network). What I would like to clarify is that the routers on the multi-access network only establish adjacenies with the DR and BDR? They dont establish adjacenies among themselves? If anyone could help me clarify this it would be fantastic!
Thank you

Yes adjacencies are only established between DRothers and DR/BDR,the idea of the designated router is to reduce resources by reducing the number of adjacencies required.
