I'm planning to take the first part of my MCSA, 70-410 on March 11th. I'm using Don Poulton Cert Guide + Mastering Server 2012 R2 and PluralSight. I've built my lab off of the test lab guides provided from Microsoft through VMware Workstation.
I'm curious to see what everyone's experience was with it, I know difficulty is relative based on experience etc. but I would be interested to see how difficult you thought it was, any advice you have for those thinking, or planning to take it.
How much PowerShell did you see roughly?
How many hours a day/week did you spend studying?
How many weeks did it take for you to feel prepared to take the exam?
Thanks

Spent about two months studying on an off, a couple of hours a day on average with a few days off here and there (mainly due to work/social commitments). Luckily my day job gives me a fair but of exposure to PowerShell and Server 2012 R2 so I didn't feel too uncomfortable with the material.
Contrary to other posts I've seen on here, I only had about 6 PowerShell questions and even then, it wasn't anything I hadn't seen before but perhaps I was just lucky!
I used these, plus Minasi's Mastering WS 2012 R2 book and the Boson practice exams:
