Hello.
I have passed comptia a+ 801 a few weeks ago and going to be taking 802 in the next week or so and I feel confident (famous last words) however i decided to explore my options for my next certificate.
so i was just curious, i've had a look around on the internet but couldn't find anything, has the retirement date for these exams been announced? or is pointless doing these exams anymore, with windows 10 ones being released shortly.

Hi Col,
There are no plans to retire 70-680 or 70-685 but you cannot gain Windows 7 MCSA if you pass them both.
You will gain MCTS certification for each individual exam taken.
You would be better off taking 70-687 and 70-688 (the Windows 8.1 exams) as these two will get you Windows 8.1 MCSA and if you then pass 70-697 (Configuring Windows Devices and Apps) you will then get Windows 10 MCSA.
Bear in mind though that the Windows 8.1 MCSA retires end July 2016.
