Microsoft Booster Pack: Certification exam + 4 retakes

5 exams (has to be the same exam) for $200 or £168

I'm using it for 70-412 It started a few days ago and runs until August. I'm from the UK and when you add VAT it comes to £118 for the exam... so its and extra £50 for four retires.

:D:D:D

Thanks,
The Scotch Egg.

Interesting, I guess that's the replacement for the free "second-shot" offer they were running until January. I'd almost feel disappointed if I paid extra for the retakes and then passed first time.

I'm a bit uneasy about Microsoft implicitly saying it's normal to take an exam five times before passing, and the effect it could have on the public credibility of their certifications, but I made heavy use of the second-shot offer, so I can't really criticise.

Why are you doing 70-412 instead of 74-409? Just wondering.

    Hi TacoRocket,

My understanding was 70-412 was the next logical step from 70-411. I was aware that you can do other exams to gain MCSA, just never looked into it. I'll probably go,

    410 > 411 > 412

    413 > 414 for MCSE.

I was told 70-412 was a bit of a beast compared to 74-409 so I'd personally attempt the harder exam. Although the virtualization exam looks cool.

Do you figure we're not going to see another Second Shot offer until the 6 month period from August 31 is over? For some reason I thought this whole thing, including when you had to write the test, was over at the end of this month, I reckoned I'd study until the next one came out in a couple of months or so and write right away then. I wonder if I can convince my boss to buy a few of them ;) (work pays for all material and test fees)

Looks like they fooled all of us. They just extended this till Sept. 30th. I bought mine yesterday so I wouldn't miss the deadline. Would have liked the extra 30 days I would have got if I knew they were going to extend it. Knowing MS they will extend it at the end of September to. But good news for anyone looking to still jump on this deal.

I got this same booster pack! It also came with Measureup practice test. I got it from Discount IT Certification Exam Voucher for CompTIA and Microsoft I'm using it for 70-680. Definitely a huge plus with these crazy exams! and how microsoft wants you to answer it the "microsoft" way.
Currently studying: 70-680 Windows 7: Configuring

    2017-2018 goals: 70-685, Server 2012, CWNP, SSCP and/or CCNA.

The practice test in the other offer is 180 days!
So, there may be more of these offers out there.

Got a pack including the practice test for 70-410.
I already failed the exam once early this year but I still remember some of the questions and the difficulty level.
I started using the practice test and I realized that most of the questions are way harder than the actual exam and even more confusing.
Anyone else has the same thoughts??

Just brought the booster pack with 4 retakes and practise test. Mindhubs offer give it you for 30 days, but the link to discount IT certs give you the tests for 180.

Mindhub seems to have a price matching scheme. Going to ask them if they'll match the 180 dyas
