Trying to decide between MCSA Cert Guide by Poulton or Mastering Windows Server to learn and study for the exams. Or, if there is any other book/source that is better than either of these? Just passed A+ and moving on to Windows Server.

Poulton isn't on my list. I read a thread a bit ago that recommended some books that I'm following. It is lengthy, but I enjoy the in depth topics.
That list is:
Active Directory by Desmond
Group Policy by Moskowitz
PowerShell in a Month of Lunch by Don Jones
MCSA Server 12 study guide by Sybex.
I have Mastering Windows Server on my to get list but not for MCSA. Only because my job role requires in depth knowledge of Windows OS (both client and server).
Hope this helps! These articles and posts are my own opinion and do not reflect the view of my employer.

Appreciate the recommendations. So, your focus is finding books on specific topics. I will definitely take a look at your suggestions. I need some sources for studying for the exam plus to learn all that I can that will help me pass the exam. -

The only issue is that it's not setup for the 70-410 exam or any other exam. You would have to skip around and look for the sections you really need for the exam. I remember I posted a break down to this book what you need to read for the 70-410 exam. it was some what the best I could do on finding the material. Don't know if someone else has put a list of chapters for using this book on exam 70-410.
Would be interesting if someone did.2018 Goals: 70-410 [X], 70-411 [],70-412 [] 410- Passed!!!!!!
My Goal for the Future
2012 - *MCSA*(WHO KNOWS WHEN) KEEP FAILING!!!! Not enough time to pass the last 2 exams.
2021 - *Security+*
2022 - * Pen Tester* -

bohack Member Posts: 114I've taught many classes with the book above and had several people pass the test. It does however come down to venturing on your own and experimenting, taking the outcome, drawing a conclusion and backing it up with either the book or a technet article. Test prep also helps.______________________________________________________________
