Need some advice for listing contract employment on a resume!

I have accepted a job as a DOD contractor from an agency and since this is the first time doing this type of work, I am wondering how can I word this on my resume and or linkedin profile? Would I put the 3rd party agency first then the actual branch or client I am supporting? Or is this the proper format or is this even allowed to list who you are actually supporting or doing the work for and listing this publicly on a resume? thanks for any advice you have.

On mine, I put the name of the agency I worked for as they were my actual employer. I then put the Army base I worked at as the location. For example:

ABC Contracting, Blank Army Depot, Anytown, CA

    Company, DOD Agency, Location..

Did it for 8 years and never had an issue doing it this way.
