Accepted Offer

shawn488shawn488 Member Posts: 33 ■■□□□□□□□□
Thanks to everyone who gave me some input here for the past few months. I have accepted a job offer at a Fortune 1,000 company in the DFW area as a Network Engineer. 98k base with 5% bonus. In addition, 3 weeks of vacation per year. I think I got a very solid deal and I only had to negotiate slightly on the pay as they came in at 95k initially. I was unaware of the bonus until I saw the offer letter. Had I known about it I probably would have accepted that 95k. For the serious IT professional, the DFW is on fire and will only get better as far as tech jobs go with the influx of corporate HQ's slated to move to the area over the next 1-6 years.

Awesome news. I know a few guys in DFW and they both agree that tech is heating up.
