Hello Everyone,
After months of studying and doubting myself I finally took the 70-210 this morning. This was my first MS exam, so I didn't know what to expect. The practice exams and preparation information on this site was quite useful. Word of advice to anyone preparing - pay attention to the little details when reading the questions and make sure you understand what's being asked.
Passed 865!

About the Welcome Kit - I understand I should receive an email with my MCP ID and other info. I still haven't gotten any email. How long is the usual waiting time? I know I have to log onto the MCP site and link my account with .NET.__________________________________________

As far as I can remember, and it's been many years since I got my MCP, I think MS sends you a package in the mail about 4 - 6 weeks after you pass your first exam.
I think the package contains a welcome letter, tie pin, your account info, and logos and such you can use on letterheads and business cards.
This might have changed since I became a MCP about 10 years ago. Maybe someone who recently became a MCP can shed more current light on this.
I'm sure you can go to the certification site and find an answer too.
Congrats again,

Received two emails today from Microsoft MCP.
FYI - One contains your MCP ID and the other your password.
Thanks!__________________________________________

well im studying to take the 70-210
can you give me some advise ,
like did you just studid from this forum? -
spicc7 Member Posts: 47 ■■□□□□□□□□Thanks,
As for advice, I used the Studynotes and practice exams from techexams and MCMSE. Make sure you understand the concepts well, if not revisit areas that don't make sense to you.
However, the best recommendation is to review the exam objectives that Microsoft set out here: http://www.microsoft.com/learning/exams/70-210.asp. I wasted a lot of time studying for things that weren't apart of the MS objectives.
Good luck!__________________________________________
