Hi folks,

I was wondering if the Linux academy is another good preparation for the CompTIA Linux+ exams

Are the online with the new CompTIA linux+ exams?

I have a subscription and their videos are very good. They even have lab servers that you can spin up and access via ssh, so you can follow along. I'm going through the LX0-103 course and they do have videos that cover the topics that are on the new exams.

I'm going over Security section now and some of their videos for CompTIA are outdated. For the most part they are good. Just make sure to use more than one source and cover everything in the exam objectives.

    How are they outdated?

I used nothing but Linux Academy to pass my Linux+ a year go.

I did already have some experience using Linux and writing basic bash script. But I had absolutely no Linux Administration experience yet.

I couldn't find all the videos at first. I double-checked and now see that an updated section for the current exam.

They way they handled the update to the exam is to just add some "exam update" videos to what they already had posted, instead of updating each video section corresponding to a major exam objective. This annoyed me a little bit, but overall I think they did an OK job.
    IT guy since 12/00

Recent: 11/2019 - RHCSA (RHEL 7); 2/2019 - Updated VCP to 6.5 (just a few days before VMware discontinued the re-cert policy...)
    Working on: RHCE/Ansible
Future: Probably continued Red Hat Immersion, Possibly VCAP Design, or maybe a completely different path. Depends on job demands...
