question about catalyst switch 2948

Is this a good switch for practical studies for the CCNA? I know my study materials say 2950's.....

Maybe the IOS is different on the 2950 than the 2948?

Hoping someone could clear this up for me?

no range command among a few other slight differences.. it will work for ccna just fine as long as you upgrade the to latest code

    Thanks!

I did notice too that when I config T , it wants me to use "set" commands. Indeed Seems like i some things are different....which is good to know and learn.
