Hi all.
For those of you in Infosec who have transitioned from one technical area to another, how did you do it? By this I mean non management positions, and i'm wondering how you made your transition from SOC to pentester,IA, forensics, ect.
Thanks.

Otherwise, figure out what you want to do and make it happen - download any free tools and master them in your spare time, watch lots of YouTube videos, sign up for the newsletters, find a few local guys who already do it on LinkedIn and ask them if you can pick their brain for more advice

Since you'll be looking to move to an area you don't have experience in, you'll have to prove that you at least have the knowledge and ability to pick up hands on real quick and management may take a chance on you.Have: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, eJPT, GCIA, GSEC, CCSP, CCSK, AWS CSAA, AWS CCP, OCI Foundations Associate, ITIL-F, MS Cyber Security - USF, BSBA - UF, MSISA - WGU

What type of stuff are you looking to get into? I have a position within my company that's 100% remote for someone with packet capture analysis exp, and has a little bit of programming experience. This position is similar to what they have over at Talos.
PM me and I can send you the details. -
