Is it a good idea to go for a technical support job? Looking to gain some IT experience.

    Depends on the job description / daily tasks - but generally yes it would be a good first step to get some experience.

    If its in a technical capacity then yes, pound for pound you cannot get better break/fix experience. Its a stressful job but resume and career wise it does wonders for teaching you have to work and fix things quickly under a great deal of pressure.
    Current Certification Path: CCNA, CCNP Security, CCDA, CCIE Security
