Resume Help!!

Hey guys, can you give me some pointers? I posted my resume on here before and you guys were a big help. So I've redone my resume again and I'm liking this one alot better but I need a second opinion as to whether this is just a marginal resume or if this bad boy is ready to land me some jobs.
Anyways, I do have LAN and WAN experience with a major ISP but I'm looking to get into another role and grow from there. I do want to be a network engineer but I'm not sure if I have the necessary skillset yet. I mean, I believe i do. But, when stacked up against the competition I know I'm lacking. So for now I'm thinking of aiming most of my resumes towards Desktop Support roles where I am out in the field helping with new network setups and/or doing service calls for hardware and software break/fix support. However, I still have applied for some network engineering roles that seem to have fewer requirements than a Senior Network Engineer. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thanks guys

Russ5813 Member Posts: 123 ■■■□□□□□□□Hi Phil, here’s my two cents:
In your professional summary, I don’t know what “own customer relationships, while self-managing time and workload” means. I’m not trying to knock it because it could just be that my coffee hasn’t kicked in yet, but I can’t make sense of it. Perhaps make it a little clearer—something like “Established positive customer relationships while ensuring projects were completed in a timely manner.”
I’d also break up your key skills section so everything isn’t jumbled together. E.g. have a subsection for your hardware, software, and networking skills.
For work experience, I’d remove any bullet points you can’t quantify. Your very first bullet point, for example, would be better explained under your professional summary, or perhaps a job summary. Instead of saying “install/troubleshoot Comcast phone equipment,” you might change it to “responsible for troubleshooting over 100 telecommunications sites in a 20 mile work area.” For your ‘Project’ bullet, maybe say “Led a $500,000 project to design and build the networking infrastructure of a commercial electronics store.” (I’m just throwing out random numbers, but you get the idea.)
I’d be hesitant to add your Bachelor’s unless you’re very close to completion (<6months). If you keep it on your resume, be exact with your graduation date. Have transcripts on hand.
Elaborate a little on your volunteer experience. Explain what you did to restore the building, especially if it relates to a job you’re applying for.
Looks like you have some really great networking experience—best of luck! -
Phillies8607 Member Posts: 83 ■■□□□□□□□□Hey, thanks for the advice. Yeah I felt like my professional summary needed a little bit of work and the "own customer relationships" sentence is something I'll change. And I had the same thought about my key skills. I sort of broke it up into hardware and software but without putting them into 2 different categories and they do look jumbled together. Thanks again!
