Hit the pavement and start looking for work.
Don't care if it is CtoH or whatever. Get back at it find something stable and keep moving forward.

File for unemployment if you can. Extra income is extra income.
Reach out to recruiters, post on dice, linkedin, and indeed.

You are young and it is fine. Things happens and most the time in life out of control. Lots of us have been through it.
Try to help extra around the house when you can to show gratitude for being there.

Once things stabilize look into the Dave Ramsey plan. Not so much the "get out of debt" part but the "save up 3 months of income" part. That way if it happens again you have a buffer.

Try to get unemployment. Apply for those temp jobs they are all over and apply for any job there is. Take what happened and use it to push yourself harder. Do "side work" for some money. Its not beneth you at all. Also great way to learn how to deal with people and more experience.

Around 15 years ago I got fired from a job for some bull reason. A couple years pass they reach out to me offer me more money at that time than I ever made. Turened them down as nice as I could. I used it to push myself harder in life. Now I have one of those everyone wants jobs. LOL no one believes I work there. So keep your head up.

They actually like my personality from what they said, but I just don't have what they're looking for which is a certain person maybe. I never got nasty with anyone and I'm very respectable, but I was the second Network Administrator to get let go in less then a year. Very strange work environment but glad I got the opportunity now I will move on.

With all your certs, you should be able to get by or maybe even go full time. Make sure you are up on your field networking too with some of those sites....I find that you always have a steady stream with that particular skill set.

Also, depending on where you are located and have a more recent vehicle, it wouldn't hurt to sign up for UBER or lyft........

You wouldn't know this from some of the things I've written here, but I have been fired MANY times. Back around 2008, I tried counting my jobs I had had since 1995, and the number was around 110.

Yes, 110. Lots of temp agency stuff. I had several years in which my tax filings had 13 W-2's. This was several years before I was doing any IT work for companies.

As such, I've gotten able to deal with it. My biggest annoyance is the sudden unexpected loss of a steady flow of paychecks. There were quite a few times when the boss would be around on late friday, and say something like "okay, see you on Monday", then 20 minutes after I left for the day, I'm getting a phone call from the temp agency saying the job is done. Those cowards. I hate it when they are not man enough to tell me to my face.

So what do you do? Get back on the horse immediately. Get that job search going ASAP. File for unemployment if eligible. Re-establishing the flow of paychecks is now your top priority.

Holy mother of god.. I knew you got fired and you've give some... ummm... questionable job advice that kind of indicated why you had employment issues but 110? Ummm.. Dude. Time to adjust your strategy on how you act as an employee or you change fields. Unless you're going for a Guinness World Record or something.

Well, that was a while back, working in menial and lesser skilled jobs, when I knew I was better than the job and most of the people there, but had not yet identified IT as a viable long term career path. My IT work has generally gone much better.

Make sure you update your linkedin and start reaching out to staffing firms. You may have to accept a lateral move to a Senior Network analyst or similar to boost your leadership profile and stay employed.

The longest non-IT job I've had was 19 months, I got fired for coming in 5-10 minutes late routinely, despite superior work performance.

I had one 4 year job, but that was in the military.

Longest IT job was 11 months in a desktop support job. I wasn't fired, I quit to move away out of state, otherwise I could have been there a lot longer, things went very well there.

Shortest job was about 3 hours. I was out of work and willing to take anything, not an enviable position to be in, but when I got called to a temp assignment at some chocolate products factory, I couldn't stand it even for a day. Every thought in my head was screaming at me to get out, I don't belong here, so I told the manager "I'm done" and left.

The majority of my ~110 jobs from '95 to '08 were in things like electronics technician, short term temp agency contract assignments, or other unskilled labor. I don't know why it took me so many years to realize that IT could be a viable career for me, SO MUCH wasted time in small money jobs there......

Is there any constructive feedback they can give you? If not on a probation period you could speak to HR. Companies can afford to be picky when it comes to the probation period as they fork out alot of money to a recruiter when hiring permanently.

If not make sure you leave in a professional light and have references.

Looking for a job is a job itself, I've seen people that couldn't find a job and they only applied for a few a day. Apply Apply Apply! You will get on the recruiters books and they will let you know when something comes up. Remember they want to get paid so want you do well. Also to help with feeling down, keep up regular exercise and sports. Maybe have a look at toastmasters to help round out your technical skills.

*If* it is true, you bet the people probably remember him. He seems like the memorable sort for all the wrong reasons from the thread where he got his first networking gig and got fired within 13 days recently. The epic journey in quotes from his thread:

Day 1 - The start of the honeymoon:

This switch was supposed to be used to supply about 10 computers in a rendering farm with internet access, but the support guy said they couldn't plug in more than 1 PC at a time to it and get a connection.
My lazy trainer had me fiddling around with it back in our office all afternoon, running SHOW commands and hooking up to it from a laptop. While he looked at facebook and other non-work. I don't know why we just didn't wipe the whole switch config out and give an ip address and default gateway to the default vlan,
But this idiot was so lazy that he wants to take it back with us having done NOTHING to it. What a joke. I knew he wasn't someone I wanted to associate with the minute I saw him. that's what I wanted to do."

Day 6 - The honeymoon is DEFINITELY over:
- "6 days in the new job, and the people I work with / for are starting to get on my nerves. There's B, the manager, and J, the one doing most of my training."
- "So J comes in this morning, 15 minutes late or so, and spreads a big sandwich out on his table, and gets on facebook. After a few minutes, I asked a question on the switch, and he says he'll talk about it after he finished breakfast, in not the nicest tone. I could have said a lot to him right then and there for his attitude, but #1, I need the job and paychecks, and #2, being that he lives in the 'hood nearby, I expected no more."

Day 7 - Heading for a divorce:
- "I don't know what his problem is, but he was rapidly pushing me to a point of pissed-off-ness that is hard to come back from. I'll be as apologetic and reasonable as I can, but once I get quiet..... something is going to go wrong, and I was almost there today."
- " I was beyond the point of caring anymore. I even told the lady in the building I went to, who associates with B and J, that I'd be surprised if I were still there at the end of the week, I'm starting to job search again. She was easier to talk to."

Day 13 - Ok, we're getting a divorce and they're keeping the kids:
- "It sounded like a waste of time makework assignment to me, and I didn't do it for an hour or two, but then I got into it and it was ok. Something to pass the time."
- "I came into work today, and we had two group meetings scheduled, one at 830 and one at 10. The 830 "meeting" ended up being just me and B in a conference room, where he didn't waste much time telling me word had gotten back to him that I was speaking negatively about him and J, and he wasn't going to put up with it, so that was it."

Wonderful lessons learned? Er... not so much:
- "It is bad that I know my states' unemployment rules so very well? Life teaches you little tips like this."
- "I don't know if I should post this brief job on my resume. I've already decided that if I did, I would date it as "3/16 to present", as I technically HAD the job a week before I began there, to imply that I was still there, as I have heard it many times that it is easier to get a job when you already have one. Maybe I should make this bit of folk wisdom work for me. Some would call that a lie, but I prefer to thinking of it as "adjusting the truth to obtain a more desirable outcome in future employment possibilities". That sounds better"
- "I'm trying a new tactic in my new job search going on now. Operating under the folk wisdom of "It's easier to get a job when you already have one", I worded my resume and linkedin to imply that I am still at this previous job. For anyone who calls me about an application, I'm on a contract assignment that is ending "soon". And I am looking now."

He may just be looking for attention or just likes giving us stories to keep us amused (and I'm definitely amused at times). Who knows... but if he's really like that in his professional life? Then yeah...I might believe the 110 number.
On a side note, I'm totally willing to chip in for an Explorer pass if we can get him to CLUS to tell us stories :P

Seriously, that sort of stuff does have ramifications if you are applying to certain places, like a job requiring a security clearance, or FedEx. They require that you supply every single job you have had in the past 7-10 years, depending on security clearance level or if it is FedEx.

For a resume, that is much easier to remedy: YYYY-YYYY Temporary Worker of Particular Nature, worked several temporary jobs doing work like...

Honestly, this has become my go-to response because I have seen the benefits... look for a stable part-time job that gives you a solid base along with whatever contract/temporary work that you can. Starbucks is awesome for this, especially if you at least moderately enjoy coffee. They have inexpensive insurance, they give you free food/drinks while working, discounts outside of work, 1lb. of coffee free per week, employee stock options plus profit sharing, 401k match that is 100% vested from day one, and free tuition to Arizona State University Online. Those freebies lower your expenses, you get some benefits... you get decent pay and some tips. And you have time to find other work.

EDIT: Obviously, while trying to find your long-term job (but maybe you still keep doing Starbucks... I was talking with someone that has worked at Starbucks part-time for ten years... between ESPP and the stock they just give annually, $50k in stock acquired over that time... not shabby).
