Was averaging around 80% in mock exams but I was not able to clear.

The score is horrible 558.

Sorry to hear that , even my first attempt was horrible , 575 ..that was 3 years back , i studied only shon harris and went for the exam ,

From how long did you prepare ?
During the exam , or when you click on the finished button at the end , did you feel like you will fail or pass ?

How long did you study for this exam? What's your background when it comes to the domains? Try reading the Sybex 7th edition book as well - updated material, practice exams, questions, etc.

How many times did you take a 250 question test?
Have you considered Eric Conrad's 3rd Edition CISSP study guide?

I had a strong background in networking, info systems mgmt & firewalls but still put in 250+ hours of study time. Some of it was not needed now that I have taken (& passed the test) on the 1st try but you know now it's all about the concepts, not the technical details.
