Looking for K12 / Higher ed in south jersey

Would anyone have any tips on finding an IT job in the K12 / higher ed or public sector? I've been working in support for 10 years in the health care sector and am ready for a change!

Thanks!

I always just check my local district websites for all the school districts in the area.

Governmentjobs.com sometimes will have listings also.

k12jobspot.com isn't bad, I'm in NJ as well and got a couple interviews when I was on the market. Also you can try the NJ.com jobs section, they occasionally have ads listed on there.

There's some good feedback here: http://www.techexams.net/forums/jobs-degrees/90386-do-you-work-school-school-district-how.html

    Cliff notes:
    - stability
    - fairly easy
    - good benefits
    - no/low funding so no cool tech
    - no upward mobility

You could try Stockton State College too, but if you don't have a degree, I think they wastebasket your application. I applied over there twice and never heard anything back. I do not have a degree.
Still searching for the corner in a round room.

I would google for a list of school districts in your area and then go through and look at each districts' website one by one for jobs. I would do the same thing for the universities and colleges in your area. You may also want to look at the websites of the cities and counties in your area for jobs as well.
