What type of job duties could you expect in....

Entry level NOC? Today I had an interview with a staffing company who specializes in IT staffing. I did really well in the interview and answered every question correctly. The recruiter then explained I would be working in a NOC not too far from where live. If you have any experience or relative knowledge, please tell me what job duties you performed and how much knowledge someone should expect to have when working. I have no certifications but I have years of college experience to hold some water; which I know is not ideal - but I was also told it's okay if I am not certified. Please share your thoughts!

I hate thread titles with an ellipsis in them, just type out the a clear title, "What are the duties for an entry level NOC position?", easy.

Entry level NOC technician would be customer facing position with many administrative tasks and basic system / network troubleshooting. It will require working with ticketing system and answering phone calls. Depending on the company, you may get to do remote hands support (racking and cabling servers) which may require some traveling.
It is a glorified helpdesk but big plus is the exposure to the NOC / Data Center / ISP environment in which you can learn a lot and it will open a lot of doors as you gain experience and knowledge. NOC Tech would be a good title and environment to start your IT career in.
