Hello all! This is my first thread here on Tech Exams! I have been studying for the CISSP for the past 3-4 months. I finished up the Sybex book, watched all CBT nugget videos, and have gone through all Sybex practice exams.
Now, I am going over flash cards I've made on the topics that I missed on the exams to brush up on areas I feel weak in, as well as watching the Cybrary CISSP videos.
I made low 70s on the Sybex tests. What kind of grades were you guys averaging on the practice tests? Is purchasing transcender exams worth it?
I think I may buy the transcender exams in a week or two after I do some more intense studying. There is just soooo much memorization in this test it seems like, hard to tell what to focus.

ITSpectre Member Posts: 1,040 ■■■■□□□□□□Also don't waste money on trancender.... From the threads on the CISSP most people reccomend CCCure over trancender. Also get the other book on the CISSP... the cybex book is the Meat of CISSP.... check out this thread for reference...

Clm Member Posts: 444 ■■■■□□□□□□I recommend Transcenders If you can afford it. The transcender question were alot better to me than the CCCURE. Watch the kelly handerhan videos and pick up the Eric conrad 3rd Edition book everything that i saw on my test was covered in his book. Passed my test in 2.5 hours and 30 minutes of review.I find your lack of Cloud Security Disturbing!!!!!!!!!

SecurityGuy05 Member Posts: 5 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks guys. I looked up the Eric conrad 3rd Edition book, its 620 pages compared to 1,000 pages from the Sybex book I finished. That is a big difference! I may buy that and read the chapters I feel weak in. Thanks for the tips!
