dreamspark voucher? Sounds interesting. I'm not too far away from finishing my degree. So I have the obvious certs to finish via school.

Techfiend: I think I found the link. Your talking about the voucher for the certification, correct? Here is the link I went to: https://wgudreamspark.onthehub.com/WebStore/OfferingDetails.aspx?o=1aee19be-194c-e511-9417-b8ca3a5db7b1

Do I need to do the Stanley route also?

Meaning will the dreamspark route keep from paying that super high VMware cost?

    Off subject question:

I have the public trust- sensitive clearance. How hard is it to get a secret clearance, if sponsored? I have seen a ton of IT gigs around here lately. But they are all on the base, and all need secret at least.

You should be able to get a secret with no issues. You just have to apply to a job that will sponsor you, fill out the SF86 form, go through the investigation, and then wait to be adjucated. normally it takes between 6-8 months for a secret. It depends on if you have moved around a lot or not... and now much history you have.

With a PSE voucher you don't need to take a course.

Thanks both of you! I really have been thinking about the MCSA to MCSE route. We have a bunch of jobs around here, requiring more of those credentials, than the Cisco route. Actually I have seen Brocade and F5 jobs more than Cisco, sometimes. It just seems that I would touch more of that kind of tech at my current job or any I have had actually. (Active Directory, Group policy, powershell, VMware, SQL, etc) I mean, WGU is the only reason I am in the CCNA anyway, because it seemed like the best ROI. Then they went and changed the Net admin degree, giving you the MCSA 2012.

I am just rambling on. lol
