New job!

Well, I wasn't sure I'd be in this position 6 weeks ago, but I decided to move on from my current company and start looking for new roles. A connection of a connection on LinkedIn saw a post I made stating that I was looking for a new role, next thing I know I get the job description sent, telephone interview then a physical interview and I've received a written offer.

That was quick.

Will become an Infrastructure Manager, so back to doing the running everything gig I used to do 6 years ago before I left the SMB sector.

Not really, but the fact I had it on the CV helped I think because I'm expected to manage all networking and server etc etc. It is for a vastly smaller infrastructure than I've been used to for the past few years, but I think that is actually a good thing. Means I can truly own what I am managing and give it the best attention, etc.

Actually, I think I'll still have a lot of hands on in this role.
