Will CCENT get me a job?
Hello everyone, I'm new in this forum and I'm planing to take my CCENT cert en a few weeks. MY question is: would just this cert be enough to get a decent entry-level job? I been working as a network deployment technician for Comcast for 2 years now. This is not a programming job, it basically is wiring and powering all the network connections of all the routers and switches on the data centers (coaxial, cat 6, mm and sm fibers, etc). I got a CCNA fast-track course certification from Cisco network Academy (not the actual CCNA cert) from my community college, it contains CIsco 1,2,3, and 4 (all the material to become CCNA). why not just go for the CCNA you ask? well, let's say that I should have taken the test right after I finished the program at school, because it's all a big blur now. I have 2 jobs and a lot of responsibilities now, and I can only afford a little time to study, so it would take me a very long time to finish all this. I'm basically done with Cisco 1 and 2, which is enough to pass the INCD1 (CCENT). I'm sure I'll pass, is just that I wanted to know what are my odds to find a job in this situation. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
