I have just started studying for the MCSA/MCSE via Hudsoncourses.com. theres plenty of information but no live labs. can anyone point to some relevant live labs that dont cost the earth?

Download Virtualbox or VM Workstation, download a free trial copy of Server 2012R2, then practice using it and go over the topics you read about in your studies.
